Mobile Phones

We would like to remind all of our parents that children are not permitted to bring expensive mobile phones into the academy on the grounds that they are valuable and may be damaged, lost or stolen and that it breaks our schools e-safety policy. The academy cannot accept liability for damage or loss caused to any personal devices that are brought into school.

During the school day if a pupil needs to contact his/her parents/guardians the school will contact them via the office. If parents/guardians urgently need to contact their child they should contact the school office via 0121 675 3985 and a message will be relayed promptly.

If a child brings a mobile phone into school it will be stored in the office and we will ask a responsible adult to collect it.

We recognise that for pupils who walk home on their own mobile phones may play a part in securing their personal safety. If your child walks home alone and you are concerned about their safety please make an appointment with Mrs Thompson to discuss your concerns.
