Dropping Off and Collecting Your Child

If dropping off your child in a car we ask that you park in a courteous manner that does not endanger our staff or students. Please do not park on the yellow zigzag or obstruct our neighbours driveways.

The academy  gates are open from 8:45am and children can come straight into school at that time. Children in Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) can enter school through the large playground with access via the gates on Eddish Road and Hurstcroft Road.

Children in Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) must be brought to the classroom by their parent or carers, all children in Key Stage 1 should use the Hurstcroft Road / Link Corridor entrance when arriving or being collected from the academy.

Children in our Nursery and Reception classes can be collected from the infants playground, parents can access this via the Hurstcroft Road / Link Corridor entrance. In the morning parents can drop children off at the Eddish Road Road door.

We ask that all children from Year 4 and below are collected from their classroom door by an appointed adult with the correct password. We do allow children in Years 5 and 6 to walk home alone if permission is provided in writing.

Our gates open at 3:00pm to allow parents and carers access to the playgrounds to wait for their children, whilst on our property we request that parents and carers do not smoke, or bring dogs onto the academy grounds. We do not allow children to ride their bicycles or scooters within the playgrounds or buildings.

Please ensure that you collect you child promptly from from the academy, if for any reason you anticipate being delayed, please contact the main office on 0121 675 3985 and let the staff know. If your child has not been collected within an hour of and no notification has been received the academy staff will contact Social Services in line with our Attendance and Punctuality Policy.

Staff are around at the beginning and end of the day if you wish to have a conversation about your child. When possible we ask that parent's wishing to have a longer conversation make an appointment after 3pm so that our staff can give our full attention to your conversation.
